Hoelle Family

family, Holiday

Rentschler Forest Metro Park

Cristina and I are on our second round as coworkers. I was excited for the opportunity to capture her family for holiday cards, but next came the minor miracle of finding a weekend where neither of us were on business travel and the weather was reasonable. I hit Frankfurt, Munich, Doha, Dubai, Detroit, and Seattle over a course of 7 weeks, and Cristina hit many of those (separately) plus several more.

I took the family to Rentschler Metro Park in Hamilton, Ohio for the scenic tall pines. The row of pines is a short walk from the parking lot and is quite a local hot spot for family photos, for good reason. With Cristina's boys maturing, I thought the tall mature pines was an appropriate venue to represent how the boys are growing up and moving beyond the days of "little kid Christmas magic." There is also a run down barn next to the parking lot that made for a fun background... just stay on the outside and watch for long stakes poking out!
